I know I don't post on too regular of a basis here, but whatever. I mainly work on this when I'm on a ship or otherwise unable to get out and play or do more interesting stuff. If I remember, that's when I'll post.

I had a good time this thanksgiving holiday, I drove out to Texas and made the rounds of all my relatives there, and my Dad's family had their thanksgiving party at his house. It was good to see everyone, and I'm happy to report that 'the fridge' made the trip with no issues at all.

The first monday I was back, I went out to the skatepark on my bike - oh, that's my new hobby if you haven't heard - I wanted to get some exercise, always did enjoy bicycling, and found out that I wouldn't be able to BMX race right away, so I figured out that there is a bike night at the local skatepark. I tried it a few times and have been hooked ever since. I had been making some good progress learning the basics - I can ride in off of a 6' quarter pipe with confidence now - I just don't really know what to do when I'm riding out of the pipe. LOL. I was trying to learn how to do a simple 180 direction change on a small quarter pipe, and had just landed with both tires when my foot slipped off of the pedal. My shoe stuck to the ramp, and my own momentum carried me right over my own foot, breaking my ankle. If you've never broken ANY bones before, I can assure you that it's the greatest amount of pain you can endure and the ankle must have more nerve endings than anywhere, as far as I'm concerned. I'm in a splint right now, scheduled for surgery in a couple of weeks, and I have a little time to update the blog. I also nearly have the photo gallery working again - a server 'upgrade' screwed it up a while ago, and I've got it partially fixed, but may need more help when the support people are back in next week. I'm hoping to return to work next week before the surgery, if not, this whole page might be totally different - I'm getting so bored not being able to move around.

I'm learning that sometimes when you play too hard, you break your toys, and sometimes your toys break you...

This is pretty cool - it might not look like it yet, but this is huge. I am now set up to be able to send photos from my camera phone right to this weblog, so maybe it'll get updated more often with new stuff. I still prefer to keep the photos in the gallery section, but this may be fun to play around with.

Been a while since I posted anything. I have been pretty busy both at work and at home. At home, I got a new garage door installed after the old one started to die after being damaged in the hurricane. I got the new body parts on the 'fridge' suburban and they're painted, so it's looking pretty good. I am hoping to get it repainted soon, but we'll see how that works out. I am close to getting a new tub and tile in the bathroom - Dutch should have the drywall repaired by now from where the old vanity was and that's moving along well.

I am currently in Barcelona, Spain again, finalizing an installation on The Mylin IV, a yacht owned by one of our good customers. I'll be leaving here in a day or so and heading back to Turkuu, Finland to finish the installation of Royal Caribbean's newest ship, the Freedom of the Seas.

Hopefully, I'll get some sort of a break from travel after that - I have lots of stuff I have ordered while I am out here to work with and plenty to do.
