Okay, now that I have a new stove, the cabinets started to really look crappy. I designed myself an updated version of the cabinets using mill's pride's online kitchen designer, and today Donnie, my cabinet-guru friend and I went a little nuts at Home Depot. After showing the dude at Home Depot the design, he insisted on running it through their fancy version of THE EXACT SAME KITCHEN DESIGNER. Grrr. 2 hours later, and ~$1600 lighter, we finally escaped the Depot and were able to get started. Thing is, the FNG was the guy who ran it through the computer, so he sold us "in stock" cabinets that didn't exist, and ran us through the checkout procedure in the wrong order. We ended up with all except one cabinet, one set of doors, and another door set we had to order. I'm going to replace the countertop with tile, and the hideous backsplash - I'm not even sure if I ever got a picture of it, gawd it was so ugly. I'll set that up Monday night with the tile buddy, and Donnie's going to start finishing up the cabinets on Tuesday. I really wanted to get the new microwave installed today, but I'm very happy with what we did get done. I have quite a bit of wiring to do in the attic to make everything work right. Had a good weekend, tore up lots of stuff at the house, and got rid of the rustier of my two VWs. Took some pictures, wanna see 'em? They're in the "house" section of the menu, under the heading "kitchen", to the left.

I actually broke down and bought a flatbed scanner last night, so now I have the rest of the pictures from European Bike Week. They're under the travel section, amazingly named "more european bike week" If you're too lazy to go through the menu - kinda like I was too lazy to doctor up these pictures (hence the fuzziness and odd sizing), click here.

Okay, finally, I got around to uploading the pictures I took in Sydney, Australia and the rest of the pictures I took in Singapore. You can find them under the travel section again, under "Sydney, Australia" and "More Singapore", if I remember what I named them correctly. Enjoy, and watch out for that panoramic picture of Sydney Harbor on page 7 of the Sydney pictures, it's huge! Don't even try it with a modem...

I just uploaded some pictures of Singapore Botanical Gardens. They're here on this page. The first 5 pictures or so are from the taxi ride in and around Orchard Street, which is a big shopping district in Singapore. The rest, especially the ones with flowers and other plants, are actually from the botanical gardens. The "official" web site for the botanical gardens is here: at this link. They really don't do it justice here, but there is some history and nice info... Enjoy!

Okay, if you haven't been here in a while, I added more pictures of Venice, Italy to the travel section. I also added a few I took in Genoa, Italy and at European Bike Week in Faaker See, Austria. I'll be scanning some of the "regular" pictures I took at EBW later, because I didn't have my digital camera with me at the time. We just staggered into it by coincidence. Tip - don't hold your breath while waiting for those scans.... I've got more of Genoa, Italy too, but it's not clear to me exactly WHERE they are. I'll get to them eventually. Meanwhile, enjoy the new stuff!

I just added pictures from the home inspection I had done on the house I'm trying to buy. Inspection was done on Friday. I didn't label the pictures well, and there's no link other than this one HERE to view them, I'll fix it up a bit later....

Added "before" pictures of my TPI manifold for the Suburban. I'm making good progress on the swap, gathering the last bits of the parts. I'll post more photos as I get more stuff in, and have a chance to install it.
